More than 160 students and community members were in attendance at the AS-UCSB Virtual Community COVID-19 Response Town Hall on Monday.

The event was presented by the A.S. UCSB Office of the External Vice President for Local Affairs, UCSB Health & Wellness, the County of Santa Barbara, Joan Hartmann – 3rd District Supervisor, and the Beloved Community of Isla Vista, in collaboration with other local entities.

Campus and community panelists outlined testing procedures, educational efforts, and ongoing initiatives aimed to mitigate the spread of coronavirus in Isla Vista. Attendees were able to ask questions and voice concerns, inquiring about the status of Winter quarter, details on isolation housing, and the possibility of mass testing in IV.

KCSB News reporter Grace Aldrich shared key findings from the KCSB News COVID-19 UCSB Student Survey, and the event was broadcast on KCSB FM in Santa Barbara. Here’s a replay.
