KCSB News and Sports · In Conversation with Frank Rodriguez: Empowering Latinx and Migrant Communities in Santa Barbara

Frank Rodriguez is a policy advocate with CAUSE (the Central Coast Alliance United for A Sustainable Economy). He’s worked to advocate for marginalized communities in Santa Barbara — promoting education and sustainable work for immigrants in the county. Mr. Rodriguez joined KCSB’s Ashley Rusch and Aubrey Valerio for an interview on CAUSE’s work throughout the pandemic, racism in Santa Barbara County, and empowering undocumented people.

On Tuesday, May 18 at 4 PM, KCSB News brings you A Year in COVID: Medical Racism, Care Disparities, & Health Misinformation – a critical discussion of how racial health inequity prevents marginalized communities from accessing quality care. Our panelists – public health leaders, medical professionals, and community advocates – will also explore the dangers of health misinformation during times of crisis and the role of communication in medical mistrust.
