Yo Mark, great show! Good mix of politics and music. That said, may I suggest something from each category. First: Rahmalla “Kill a Celebrity” from (I think) 2006. The first line (shouted with no music) “I’d like to detonate a car bomb outside the door of your precious MTV and release some sarin gas in the central AC at the VMAs and watch those beautiful faces turn ashen gray” says it all. F’n pissed the entire ripping album. My reaction kinda reminded me of the first time I heard “millions of dead cops”. Check out the Beatles cover where they change the lyrics and invoke the conspiracy theory that our govt. was in on 9/11. Second: A podcast that you can find on itunes. Dan Carlin’s “Common Sense”. He’s a libertarian/multi-party advocate/historian type (NOT like Ron Paul) that often has a way different take on our times than most. I suggest his 2/12/2010 “To Dum to Vote” episode as a good primer. If you get a chance, email me back with your take on both…Cheers, David
Unity Call was AWESOME!
Sheamus,
I had a blast calling in to your show; keep up the good work! Are you still DJing through September? I’d like to call in again next week if possible. Is it too late to get an audio copy of the show I was on?
Thanks!
Atom
Loved the show but what happened to the rest of the playlist?! Looking for a song around 7:48 with the lyrics “watching everything you did” haha thanks!
Once again i would like to thank you its exactly what i needed for the morning!I work aat 330am,I didnt need no coffee to wake me up it was the show.I dreaded the 6oclock hr i wanted u to be on all day.Im a forever listener to kcsb cant wait till next week!Much love girl thank you again!!

Check out my friend afire nx he’s got a sick song with k.o. Kid called “ride tonight” he’s coming up out of north Carolina. Definitely a Cali college sound though.
***AFIKA NX**** sorry
I will preface this by saying, I love KCSB, so I’m sorry to say the re-mix I just heard of Nicos “These Days” was a major let down…just not well balanced in my opinion. It’s a favorite song of mine, so maybe I’m just closed minded.
Thank you for playing Fleet Foxes though!
Trying to get a hold of you for call in on this Gangrene Show. Get at me Julz Lugo kashrocent-artistrelations@yahoo.com

Just wanted to let the Secondhand Sounds dj know that your show is fantastic — super great oldies I don’t hear anywhere else. Keep it up!!
Just wanted to tell Marta, that I still listen to “Roots to the Source,” sometimes. And how much I still love alot of the songs you play.
You know where I can be found.
what good my need to know people… This is the NEW WEST COAST sound. Blood Sport Mix tape is full of real Hip Hop music. B-Jada addresses the urgency of hip hop and sends a message to Drake for disrespecting Tupac’s passing, on his single titled LIKE THAT. We are the NEW WEST COAST and the entire hip hop world needs to understand its a new sound coming out of the west.
B-Jada BLOOD SPORT MIXTAPE!
YO DJ Mike… rock it my brotha… Marley is going nice with my party shots!!
Peace Marley, always.. your message lives on. Thanks Mike for keeping it alive tonight.
Love, Love, Love.. Marley knew, so should you. Perfect time to pay respect to the man who had insight and spread the word…of love. If only everybody adopted this philosophy, we would be a better world.
Thanks for all the love and support for the Roots Rock’n show…it means a lot! Its such a pleasure to play the music i have…ONE WORLD

Dear the Chemist, there was a guy down here at pitzer college at a co-op called marc the mathmetician i believe, he purchashed 2 of our albums, and refered us to you, i play in a band called ruptures, he said you would dig us alot. we are from la puente (bridgetown, ca) but we are going to be playing in ilsa vista at the pink mailbox, on june 12th. is there any way i can get in contact with you via telephone or email, for some reason the podcast/webcast isn’t working on my computer, and i would like to talk about helping us promote the show, i would like to send you the albums via email. kendra from kspc claremonte, ca use to play our stuff all the time on her late night punk show she shared with troy. so if your interested in recieving the album, reviewing it, and spinning it, get back to me. you’d be a great amount of help.

Just a quick but sincere note of thanks for the superb edition of Oneeva Musique on the 19th- really enjoyed it!
Thanks and warm regards,

The DOOM CORP show rocks the planet and is hyper-relevant. The Chemist also rocks and he should be nominated and approved as a national treasure. Thanks for the reality based commentary on the inequities of the corporatyrranny that goes on every day and night domestically and planet wide that has damaged this republic so much as well as other cultures and countries. Punk rock forever! Keep it coming and keep it real!
Everyone at my party really enjoyed your program last Sunday 10/7. Great selection of music. Keep it coming; will tune in your show every Sunday. Thank you for the great music.
Love your program Sunday 10/7. Great selection of the music. Keep up with your good work. Thank you for the great music.
Both comment for BRB with Ronnie C and Brick House with Kyla Sebens. Great selections of music and great entertainment. Thank you.
Watch Peralta TV’s Exclusive 2008 Interview with Richard Aoki at
http://www.youtube.com/user/peraltatv
In 2008, Peralta TV produced an award-winning documentary on the origins of the Black Panther Party at Merritt College. As part of the documentary, “Merritt College: Home of the Black Panthers,” Peralta TV interviewed Richard Aoki, who for many years worked for the Peralta Community College District as a teacher, administrator and counselor.
Although regarded by many as a leader in civil rights and activist circles, recent evidence suggests that Richard Aoki may have been an FBI informant. Peralta TV conducted an exclusive 90-minute interview with him in October 2008, just months before he died in 2009.

” Cold Cuts” for breakfast W/ DJ Tibonious Now Weds 6:00-8:00 am
Yeah Gabi! Streaming your first show, in Sacramento! Loved the surfy moody twangy tunes! Complete with the cheesy Farfisa organ riffs.
Spreading the word! KCSB should offer podcasts for archived shows, so people can timeshift shows on demand.
They should start calling you “The After One Hun”! (^_^)
Nan Vernon’s rendition of Moon River was awesome late night tune! What language was that!?
‘Still listening!
Dj Red Riding Hood and The Graham Jam for president. Monday 3:30 AM
Acoustic Salvaje, confesses the hot messes that are midterm stresses. Still listening to Gabi on Tuesdays!!!
