Throughout this year, KCSB Sports has touted itself as “The home of UC Santa Barbara athletics, and the place where players can be themselves.” Our broadcasters work diligently to cover all 19 Division I athletics programs at UCSB while each broadcaster concurrently grows and sharpens their skills behind the mic.

Although games are cancelled, KCSB Sports is still hard at work. Four of our broadcasters applied for STAA All-American honors this week! The STAA All-America Competition recognizes the most outstanding collegiate radio and TV sports broadcasters. Their mission is to encourage collegiate sportscasters to strive to achieve their best.
Each spring, the nation’s most outstanding collegiate sportscaster is presented the Jim Nantz Award, named in honor of the award winning CBS sports broadcaster.
