Stanley Naftaly, host of Jazz Straight Ahead , will be interviewing The Blind Boys of Alabama’s drummer/vocalist of 17 years, Ricky McKinnie, on this week’s show (11am-1pm, Weds., Dec. 20th), one day ahead of that acclaimed gospel band’s Christmas concert at the Marjorie Luke Theater (see below), an event sponsored by KCSB in conjunction with Jacalyn Kane Productions.
