I love that she describes the most “overwhelming” experience in the most monotone voice… EVER. Whatever happened to allowing actual emotion disperse in one’s voice?

I’ve posted a link to the nomination announcment in its entirety so visitors to this web site will have an opportunity to hear more than just one or two sentences from that day. I watched President Obama’s nomination announcement as it happened, and found Sotomayor’s acceptance speech to be quite moving. You’ll notice that Sotomayor says she’s nervous before she begins to deliver her prepared remarks.
