In fact, I just tested our stream on a three-year old G5 iMac running 10.4.11 - and it came in loud and clear, All audio seems to play fine on our machine, so I can't explain why you would be having problems. I tried all last week to get the fire news, or ANY broadcast from you, and it failed utterly. iTunes will not play a thing from your site. What gives??
