‘Queen of the Sun’ documentary SB Waldorf Benefit.
April 8, 2011 – Unity Church: 277 E. Arrellaga, SB
7pm
The event is a pre-screening of the award-winning documentary “Queen of the Sun.” Queen of the Sun examines the global bee crisis through the eyes of biodynamic beekeepers, scientists, farmers, and philosophers. On a pilgrimage around the world, 10,000 years of beekeeping is unveiled, highlighting how our historic and sacred relationship with bees has been lost due to highly mechanized industrial practices. Queen of the Sun weaves a dramatic story uncovering the problems and solutions in renewing a culture in balance with nature.

The Interfaith Initiative of Santa Barbara County
The Interfaith Initiative and ECOFaith of Santa Barbara County invite you to an interfaith program and dinner. We will hear how a local Christian Church, a Jewish Synagogue, and the Islamic Center are dedicated to greening their places of worship and their congregations.
Guest speakers:
Dr. Ed Bastian, Moderator (ECOFaith Santa Barbara)
Roberta Cordero (Chumash Elder)
Normah Halim (Islamic Society Santa Barbara)
Rev. Wallace Shepherd (2nd Baptist Church)
Rabbi Alyson Solomon (Congregation B’nai B’rith)
Throughout the world, religious leaders and organizations are awakening to the realization that to honor the creator is to care for creation; to be healed is to help heal the earth; to be saved is to help save the diversity of life on our planet; to be religious is to live sustainably.
Participants will learn how to reduce their carbon footprint through proven and award winning methods used by local congregations. Local congregation leaders will help other congregations make a profound shift to sustainable practices and building efficiencies as effectively, quickly and inexpensively as possible.

Normah Halim of the Islamic Society of Santa Barbara will discuss the ‘green thinking’ that has gone into planning their Mosque.

Any alumni from 1970 – 1975 from KCSB or the College of Creative Studies who remember me as a friend, please call
209-532-5504 in 1990 I began a collection of music called
“Songs for my long-lost Friends” & “Happy Songs from Sad Times”
Did the April 2012 KCSB Reunion take place?
I could find no posts about it on this site.
Thanks to Eleazar who would broadcast my music back in 1973-75
(unbeknownst to me) while I was practicing in one of the studios…. The music has grown considerably while I have been recuperating (sadly separated from the fine friends I made there, but memory fades and
love that “…covers all ‘sin’ ” and that “…bares…believes…hopes…endures all things” becomes easier & perhaps more rare with age.
18 years they spent re-educating us with things better left forgotten?
. (“A friend loveth ‘AllWays’…?”) Anyway, now there is enough music for a Musical Symphony. Feedback/script-writer/editor needed
(music and lyrics completed; THEME: “The End of War: ‘A Woman’s Last Word’… incorporating Robert Browning’s Poem of the same name. )
