Interesting report on Karl Rove's visit by reporter Lucas Brooks. As I could not be there, it was great to hear such an articulate and intelligent report of the event. The burning question asked by protesters and hecklers about perceived war crimes committed by Rove was answered by quoting Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry and then Senator Obama.Interesting approach.

Each of the questions submitted by students were answered. One was asked by a student who was present. He was asked to stand and was on the phone. It was funny to hear Rove personalize the interaction by asking the type of phone.

It was touching to hear Rove talk about the soldiers, particularly when he talked about the Navy Seal.

At the end some stood and applauded at the end, some groaned and some just left. I like that Mr. Brooks gave us the web address rove.com at the end. It showed attention to detail. As happens at UCSC, some of the protesters forgot what they were protesting and had signs address prop 8.

I enjoy hearing the coverage presented by KCSB. Good job.

I'd like to get a message to Rick Fenz that The Doughboys have a new album out -- "Act Your Rage". We'd love to send him a copy -- where should it be mailed? Thanks.

If the priorities of California are to be re-framed, so that education rather than incarceration be our primary attention, for our future as a commonwealth, and for the prosperity of our citizens, we must call a citizens Constitutional Convention. We have only until January 11th 2010 to raise 1 million voters signatures. Please join the local Assembly District teams here, pass the word to all Students in California and run for Convention Delegate! The future belongs to you - claim it! http://californiaactionnetwork.com/County___Assembly_Dist.html
