On Saturday, February 22nd, Ted Coe, producer/host of “The Freak Power Ticket,” conducted a lengthy interview with writer, critic, and filmmaker Matt Zoller Seitz.
Author of the best-selling new release The Wes Anderson Collection (Abrams Books, 2013), Matt Zoller Seitz is also editor-in-chief at RogerEbert.com; staff television critic at New York Magazine and Vulture.com; and a champion of the video essay (a YouTube-era creative phenomenon).
The first part of this interview (largely focusing on the life and legacy of the late film critic and writer Roger Ebert) aired on Monday, February 24th.
Today, Coe airs part two, which focuses primarily on The Wes Anderson Collection. The pair discuss:
- the book’s textual influences and impact;
- the depth and breadth of filmmaker Wes Anderson’s artistry (from the Bottle Rocket short  to Moonrise Kingdom );
- a preview of his latest work, the Berlin International Film Festival prize-winning film, The Grand Budapest Hotel (which opens this Friday in Santa Barbara).
