KCSB-FM is a proud sponsor of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation‘s 13th Annual Frank K. Kelly Lecture on Humanity’s Future with special guest Noam Chomsky, on Friday, February 28th at the Lobero Theatre (for more info, CLICK HERE).
This will be Chomsky’s first public appearance in Santa Barbara in more than 20 years. To mark the occasion, earlier that week, KCSB-FM’s “Popped Culture Films” will present a free screening of Is The Man Who Is Tall Happy? An Animated Conversation with Noam Chomsky (Gondry, 2013), Monday, February 24th, 7pm at the UCSB MultiCultural Center Theater.
Filmmaker Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep) has crafted an extraordinary animated documentary about the thought-provoking philosopher, linguist, political theorist, and social-justice activist, MIT professor Noam Chomsky.
Gondry’s hand-drawn cartoons colorfully illustrate his complex, lively conversation with Chomsky, revealing the brilliant life and work of the “father of modern linguistics” and one of the great minds of our time.
KCSB-FM invites viewers to stay after the film screening for a facilitated conversation.
Again, admission is free. Seating is limited, so arrive early to guarantee a spot!
