“Now that we’ve got that silly blast out of all our childhood pasts out of the way, we’ll put it simply, which kind of defeats the purpose, but still: this week’s theme is songs with titles of at least six words. That means two hours of perfectly prolix pop, at least as far as the titles go, as a long title doesn’t necessarily mean a song’s lyric is also verbose. Summer’s over, so there’s no “Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka-dot Bikini,” but we’ve got a whole host of songs with long titles, by artists from Final Fantasy to Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme to Mojo Nixon. Word.”
Frank ‘n’ George airs Tuesdays 10 am – 12 noon this summer.
