On Wednesday, July 13th, Santa Barbara indie-rock quintet Gardens & Villa returned home after several weeks opening for Foster the People, playing sold-out shows in large theaters throughout North America.
Gardens & Villa’s sold-out headlining set at SOhO Restaurant & Nightclub served as something of a release-party for the band’s debut self-titled album, available from the prominent independent label Secretly Canadian.

The episode of “The Freak Power Ticket” included here features a lightly-edited version of that originally hourlong program, with selections of G&V music.
Thanks to Adam, Chris, and the rest of the Gardens & Villa crew, plus Secretly Canadian and Santa Barbarans Little Owl for their time and for permissions to include the complete tracks interwoven in this podcast.
