On Monday, March 28th, from 11am-noon, “The Freak Power Ticket”‘s Ted Coe is joined by guest-host Eric Wolff (of “The Green Room,” KCSB Sundays in the Winter) in welcoming the San Francisco Bay Area-based “progressive bluegrass” (or “California Americana”) group Hot Buttered Rum to Storke Tower for a live in-studio performance. The five-piece band will perform an acoustic set and join their hosts for conversation, while also sampling tracks off Hot Buttered Rum’s rock-oriented recordings.
All of this is anticipation of the group’s return to SOhO Restaurant and Nightclub later Monday night, a concert that will feature acoustic quartet Head for the Hills, from Fort Collins, Colorado. Doors for this 21-and-over event open at 7 and showtime is 8pm.
“The Freak Power Ticket” can be heard Winter quarter on Mondays from 11am-noon, while “The Green Room” airs on Sundays from 6-8pm.
