Radio Causeway: Drs. Madin & Warner on Fishing of Predators on Coral Reefs – Dec 14, 2010

Drs. Elizabeth M.P. Madin and Robert Warner stop by Radio Causeway to discuss their team’s recently published paper in the December 2010 issue of The American Naturalist titled, Fishing Indirectly Structures Macroalgal Assemblages by Altering Herbavore Behavior.  The article discusses the effects the fishing for predators has on coral reef ecosystems. 

Dr. Madin is a NSF Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney and Dr. Warner is a Professor in UC Santa Barbara’s Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology.
