KCSB reporter Harry Lawton interviews UCSB officials, who promote the new Henley Gate as a stature-raising improvement, as well as a member of the campus community who thinks the money ($2 million) could have been better spent.
Interview with Stephanie Wycoff — she and her boyfriend Allen Murray lost all their belongings in the Gap Fire. In the process of moving into a studio off of Old San Marcos Road, the couple was living in a tent-trailer that was destroyed by the fire on July 3. Their pet pig died when they weren’t able to evacuate her. The Red Cross has provided some financial assistance; to help this couple, call (805) 636-2529.
